The end of May is always packed for our family. So let me just get this all out of the way right now: Happy 31st anniversary to my mom and dad today, happy belated birthday to my brother-in-law Paul (it was on Monday. Maria's was on Sunday--see previous post), and happy birthday in advance to my dad, whose special day is on Friday. Saturday will be fun too because Maria is going through the temple for the first time. Then it's on to the wedding! You can tell it's getting closer because instead of cleaning my house and getting ready for company, I am blogging. That's what I do.
You can also tell it's summer because Mark and Madelyn get antsy to do stuff outside. Mark came home from rock climbing the other day and had bought Madelyn her very own harness. She is so excited. It is still a little big on her, but she doesn't care. Mark was going to take her canyoneering last weekend in Zion, but thankfully it rained. I was not too happy about my four-year old rappelling off a 60 foot cliff, to tell you the truth. I think she needs to work up to that, ya know??
Then they had to have their inaugural swim of the year in my parent's pool. Madelyn loves to swim almost more than anything else in the world. She really takes after her dad.
And a couple weeks ago, our friends the Richards came to visit us from Albuquerque. It was fun to see them, chat and let Madelyn run wild in the park with Beckham and Ravi. We really miss those guys.
That same weekend, my little sis Meg had her end of the year ballet performance. Madelyn and I went and I tried to take some non-flash pictures while she was dancing. Meg did really well and Madelyn got really excited about starting ballet lessons someday.
Men's Health Guys: Ewan McGregorSigh. Time to wrench myself away from the computer and face the messy house. It's a shame that even though summer is here, laundry, bills and dishes know no season. Somebody really needs to do something about that.

Good luck with the wedding! Wish we were able to make it. Enjoy!!
mmm...i love me some ewan mcgregor, too. i love moulin rouge. i hate his hair in clone wars (why the mullet???)
beckham would be so jealous of madelyn's rock climbing harness. jeremy took him once to the climbing gym here, and he LOVED it. too bad we're not closer.
HA! I'm a huge Ewan McGregor fan too. Moulin Rouge is one our (yes, john's too) fav. movies. We break out into songs from the movie all the time together. He was fantastic in Angels & Demons...even if he turned out to be the bad guy in the end. :-) Hope your pregnancy is going ok! I'm really starting to feel 'big'. :-)
