One would think that with me posting every 2.3 days, I would have everything covered. Nope. I need to play catch up.
Maria, my cute little sis who is preggers with her first baby (a girl!) came over last Monday to sew and squeal over my baby clothes stash. Well, she sewed and I tried to corral my kids, who wanted nothing more than to play in the big pile of fabric we had on the floor. She ended up making a darling brown/pink polka dot blanket and I cut out some burp cloths. I finally got around to finishing them last Friday:Madelyn has kept busy with a couple of pool parties (and having an epically bad time with swimming lessons--but we won't go into that...). Last Monday, she had her cousins Nathan and Ava over to play. This was the first time Luke used his baby pool, and although there was no sand to eat, he was in heaven.
Yes, we own a lot of kiddie swim paraphernalia. And this is not even including all of it.

It was hilarious watching Madelyn and Emmy together. They are both queen bees and are both so bossy. They are not used to having to share supreme power. Little Kate just roamed around eating grass and rocks and Luke chilled in his pool. Good times.

It's too QUIET. I guess Luke and I and Netflix will have a night alone. (I think I am going to enjoy this....shhhhh!) :)

I'm so envious that you can sew so well. I mean, look at everything you do! How fun that would be to see cute fabric and actually be able to do something with it.
I definitely lack those skills.
How fun! I need to play catch up on my blog, too. I haven't been the best at blogging lately. I haven't even blogged about the July Jamboree yet! And I might steal these pics to put on my blog :)
Small world. I am good friends with your friend Michelle's husband Jake's sister. They were all in my ward when I was a youth. Rachel (his sister) and I has recently reconnected these last few years... Long story... Does that even make sense?
Hope you had a nice quiet evening. I love seeing the projects that you and Maria do! CUTE!!
Those are some seriously cute burp cloths! Well done!
i love all the blankets and burp cloths! so cute! i love the thick brown border you put on the own one (um, i just love the owls period). good job getting all that done!
It is weird when the guys take the kids and you get some alone time. I experience that same "what do I do now" feeling. It's a nice break though.
My favorite of your projects was the burp clothes.
