Madelyn the shutterbug

Madelyn is becoming quite the shutterbug (which comes as no surprise, seeing as I've been one for 15 years).

The other day, she wanted to take pictures of  a hummingbird outside her bedroom window. I expected it to be teeny and lost amongst the butterfly bushes:

 That thing looked like a 747!

 Actually, the first thing that popped into my mind was "The Wasp and the Unicorn" episode from Season 4 of Doctor Who....

 

Then on Monday, she captured this monarch butterfly. Beautiful!
